Reflection on the Organized Conference Title: “International Research Conference on Information Technology Education 2026”
I attended
the International Research Conference on Information Technology Education 2026,
organized by the Philippine Society of Information Technology Educators in
collaboration with Gordon College. The event took place on March 19, 2026, at
Bulacan State University in the City of Malolos, Bulacan.
During the
session, the primary focus was on artificial intelligence (AI). The speaker
discussed the benefits and limitations of AI. Generative AI, a specific type of
artificial intelligence, can create new ideas and mimic human skills to produce
content, images, and other creative outputs, allowing for a more effortless
workflow. The event also featured several competitions, including AI image and
video content creation, a cosplay competition, a singing competition, a short
animation competition, and more.
I
believe I can discover more effective ways to use AI prompts that would help me
generate accurate and well-crafted outputs. However, I am hesitant about the
idea of AI defining my skills or determining my worth as an artist. I plan to
use AI primarily to gain knowledge and gather creative ideas, which I will then
combine with my own creativity.
The event
exceeded my expectations in terms of entertainment. Participants from each
school were competitive yet supportive of one another. I truly enjoyed the
experience; the host was energetic and engaging, which contributed to a vibrant
atmosphere. I also appreciated the food and the giveaways. Unfortunately, I
didn’t win any of the raffles, which I had hoped for due to the cash prize.
However, I was happy to see that one of my friends won the Php 5,000 cash
prize.
The event
was fantastic and entertaining, featuring many schools competing in various
categories such as cosplay, singing, and animation. Each school showcased
impressive performances, demonstrating their competitive spirit and passion for
their respective fields. The energetic host kept the audience engaged, and some
audience members even participated, adding to the excitement and enthusiasm as
the crowd cheered them on.
